Topic: Virgin Atlantic B747 'Tubular Belle', Which are the authentic colours?< Next Oldest | Next Newest >

Hello everyone,

I am trying to purchase a die cast model of this plane through ebay for myself for Xmas. My son is studying to be a Pilot and I thought it would be a nice collectible for me to have seeing as how it has my name on it.

Anyway, I have seen two versions of it on ebay and I don't know which is showing the authentic colours of the original aeroplane.
One shows the Belle holding the British flag while the other shows the Belle holding the red and white Virgin Logo.

A quick response would be appreciated as these items are selling on ebay as we speak, so don't go and buy them out from under me please.

All the pics that I've seen are with the British Flag.  :D

Thanks for that. The Tubular Belle with the Union Jack is definitely the original and the best IMHO, and is the one I have decided to order, but on one of the ebay items listing this version it stated it was the 'old colours' so I am wondering if the Tubular Belle has indeed had a recent face lift with the red and white Virgin Logo, not as nice, as the new colours. Will seek confirmation on this.
