I just watched a very good documentry about the enigmanic vivian stanshall,it charted his colorful life, from birth through to his tragic death.what i found strange was their was no mention of mike or TB 1 or 2 .is there a reason for this,or does anybody have any ideas why this was.

Well they actually skipped over most of the 70s, not just the TB part.  Vivian was best friends with Keith Moon and Moonie didn't get a look in either.  A large chunk of the show dealt with the Bonzos (not surprisingly) and then we seemed to shoot through to his last years with the excuse that Vivian was so out of it on tranquilisers for most of the 70s that he couldn't remember what happened himself.  Given that he made a solo album, several singles, dressed up as a member of the SS to acompany Moon as Hitler in the streets of London, and, yes, recorded his mc duties for TB during this period, I find the excuse for skipping a whole decade flimsy at best.  Truth of the matter is that there just wasn't enough time to discuss everything, so they made editorial decisions.  Still an enjoyable show though.
