I'm not going to listen to it until it hits the shops myself but I'm curious to know what people think about the art as we've all seen that.

From what i have seen i think it is very good. Much better than Light and shade. I dont like the prison look...
The colours on MOTS are delightful and stunning. I like it :)

It's not horrible, I'll give it that. But some other people here had a good point about it: it looks like the cover of an 80's calculus book.

Its not a Bad Cover which sort of sums up the Album Title. It reminds me slightly of a Science fiction theme... From what ive heard so far the LP is a good one ..Not sure if the music relates to Outer Space or whatever though..

As an Alternative I could of Pictured Mike Juggling the Spheres or Planets in a circle.. bit more of a talking point maybe....

It's uninspired. But the one thing I don't expect from Mike Oldfield these days is great cover art. After the Millenium Bell anything is an improvment!

Would it be unfair to suggest its a bit sci-fi... maybe more like you'd expect from Vangelis? Its quite an arresting image, which is helpful from the idle browsers p-o-v!

11-5 broadly in favour so far..... it does reference Tubular Bells doesn't it, and so, apparently, does the music... am I the only one who hasn't heard it?

I love it, I think those calculus books looked great. Honestly. It may not exactly be very modern but so isn't the music.

Think I would`ve prefered either of those two promo shots of Mike rather than the one we`re gonna` get.You know why has it got be so literal? MOTS.. a load of spheres going round and round...Come on!Even QE2 and Platinum both showed more imagination than that. And they both worked very well for me. It`s certainly striking alright, but not in a good way.If I was working for Universal I`d be working out how many promo stickers you could feasibly get away with sticking on the front of it,just to disguise it`s naffness.

It`s actually been a very long time for me when I`ve looked at the front of a Mike Oldfield album and thought..."Yeah I like that."So what your casual observer is gonna` make of it wondering what to buy,I really hate to think.

I bought (and am currently listening for the 2nd time) this album today and I must confess to being a little underwhelmed by the cover art.

I can understand the symbolism, ie "spheres". But portrayed in such a sterile calculated fashion in terms of cover layout that I'm given to thinking that someone was playing with PaintShopPro one day, and came up with this!

Not great, but not bad, just somewhere in between. Again!
