but after all i feel very much same as the songs i hear of mike..
The song dont need to have lyrics, it is just the feeling you have inside..

Like now..
i feel
"surfing" he he
not only the lyrics but the strong solo in surfing is a strong piece, and that is how i feel most of the time these days. The sun is sinking and the autumn is here. Time to get surfing and feel a little down...

now over to you  ;)

depends with me, at the moment i feel like my fav album, TBii,

that is, for the most part, misunderstood...

But the other night when recording i felt like orabidoo,

i started off calm and sentimental, then after a few i ended up with Slurred speech and a bad temper.. leading up to sentimental again because themusicans had to leave!

:D

I am Hergest Ridge...

Calm in places... bit weird... and every now and then in my head there's a Thunderstorm, just like on the record.

:)

Moonlight Shadow- dark and mysterious ;) .

I guess it all depends upon my mood ,at work I often feel I'm a  Shadow on the Wall,or I'm having a Crises(time to find a new job methinks!!!;).
Far Above The Clouds, when I'm daydreaming.

I often feel I'm Tubular Bells, calm and peaceful, but can change to angry and frustrated, my frustrated alter ego is Piltdown Woman :p, but once I've vented my anger (in a positive way of course) then there's the  frivolity of the Sailor's Hornpipe.

When I'm energised and inspired I'm Part 1 of Ommadawn, just so uplifting. I can also have  the childlike innocence of On Horseback .

Well said Piltdownboy,I couldn't have put it more eloquently :) .

Like Hergest Ridge I'm rather unconventional, and iconoclastic.

Well, I've had Mike's music as a huge part of my life for nearly 30 years now. It has been a solid base through all the ups and downs. So, although not quite in the spirit of Kay's original idea, here is my biography:-

As a child, I was innocent, taking my first steps on lifes road. At primary school I had a flying start, being top of the class in most subjects.

But then the teenage years came, and I became a runaway son, leaving home early. I was with the wrong friends, and did some naughty things. But, I regretted them and was Mr Shame.

So, into my 20's, I found a career in selling, and was always on the make make. I got married and was quite the family man. But I was guilty of working to hard, putting my career before my family.

Things got rocky at home, and one day I came home from working away and it was not good news. My wife had commited a crime of passion with the bloke next door. I wasoutcast, my life and mind scattered to the four winds.

It was a very tough time, and I am so glad I had Mike's music to keep me a little bit sane. Then, from the ashes, there was romance. I met someone new and my life had a resolution.

Now, when I look at my new family, my older children playing with baby Katie, I get all misty eyed. My life is definitely in high places.

So - which song am I? "All that I need and I desire", "Can we get much higher?" - I'm not a fan of the song, but right now I'm IN HIGH PLACES

I don't think it will be surprising for anyone here who've ever seen my signature. ;) It moves me everytime I hear it.

I'm an Outcast, undoubtedly. Even the most trivial things can cause me to go absolutely crazy

...Outcast

...Nightshade

...Sentinel

..Out of Mind

Hmmmm.... I think to be honest there are two answers to this, what we would like to think we are and what we actually are!

I'd like to be a mix of Amarok (powerful, a bit different, full of challenge and interest) with Hergest Ridge (Calm, considered and thoughtful with a range of other emotions) and a dash of Crises coolness thrown in.

Actually I think I am more "Guitars" - poorly conceived, a bit dull and you wonder why anybody bothered :-)

p.s. before anybody starts with the smart-alec responses, by "poorly conceived" I only mean I might not have been a good idea, not anything else :-)
