I would like to know why was man in the rain written?
Also i would like to know that on the video of tb3 if that is Cara from Polo star who sings man in the rain. It is the video from Hore Gaurds parade.

"Man in the rain" was written over 20 years ago, right after "Moonlight shadow" (which is quite similar).

It is about Mike's abandon of his first family.
That's not Cara singing it in the HGP video; IIRC that's Pepsi Demacque from the (now disbanded) pop duo Pepsi & Shirlie.
