Quote (Cooper Roy @ July 09 2010, 20:08) | Children! Settle down now, you've all had your afternoon nap.
Back in the day,1975- the renowned Paeleoanthropologist Don Johanson, discovered the 3 million year old fossil-skeleton of an ancient species Australopithecus afarensis (no-relation,Milamber) in the Hadar region of Ethiopia. Legend states, that night Don's digging-crew were listening to a cassette of The Beatles 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.' Hence world-renowned "Lucy," entered the Paeleoanthropology millieu.
Now, yesterday the Scientific journal Nature reported the discovery of 800,000+ year old stone flint tools near Happisburgh (pron:Haysbourough) in Norfolk,England. These have been attributed to the species Homo antecessor,or "pioneer man." So far though,no remains of the toolmakers have been unearthed.
If they do,what Mike track do we want playing on the site iPod dock? |
Oh, that Lucy! The Caveman section from TB2, obviously.
