Who wrote the tracks on the Sallyangie album? From what Sally is quoted to have said in the CD booklet ("I picked up a guitar and wrote all the songs that were to appear on the record in just two days"), it sounds she's the only writer, while David Bennet (Gandalph), on his YAMOWS, quotes Mike and Sally as the writers of everything. Yet the credits on the booklet's back cover are careless enough to mention 'M. Oldfield' as the only writer of four tracks (including one he can't IMHO have written entirely on his own, i.e. "Chameleon"), while only four more tracks [out of sixteen!] are credited as 'Oldfield, Oldfield' [one of which, "Milk bottle", is a guitar impromptu that I don't think Sally's had anything at all to do with... :)]. What do all of you out there [at least, those of you who have the album... ;)] think about this?

I wouldn't rely on the writing credits from my site too much. The page was written before the reissue was released. And it was just a best guess. I just added the lyrics to the bonus songs on to the end without altering the rest of the page. Partly because I was too confused with the sleeve notes. ;)

I've just altered them to reflect what is stated in the booklet (even if they are incorrect). If anyone can provide a definitive answer I can always change them again.

By the way, you missed a t off the end of my surname. I'll have to have a sulk now.  :(

Hi Ugo,

Would it be ok to use the slightly edited quote (above) on my site? With appropriate credits of course. It may make things a little more understandable for visitors.

Yeah, of course it's OK. Anyway I don't think I deserve any credits for it, because it's simply stuff I gathered by reading the booklet and the back cover of the CD. I didn't say anything really new. :)

P.S.: Sorry again for missing a T off your surname. My typing is often very careless. :)
