I think they are a bit too metal for mike.  Maybe if he started drinking blood and sacrificing virgins he might begin to use them!

Hey, I have Ibanez, and it's great guitar! And I don't like hard rock! :)

On the TB II DVD, You can see, that one of the guitarist, plays on Ibanez.

I resent that, i dont think you know very much about guitars of you can think athat ll ibanez are metal based, they make better gibson type guitars than gibson in my opinion, i havent yet in my 8 years played a better guitar than an ibanez.

yeah, there is a loveley ibanez in the TBii video, but heres proof that they ae not all metal basd like you think..

George benson signature

oooooo lets go slit our wrists to that one hahaha

or..

artsist series #2

imho, mike never used ibanez because he never really got the chace anyway, (iabnez only really were mass produced in the 80's) i dont think he is at all picky about what guitar to use, his sound is unique to his playing style and in the era where he played most guitar on his albums (pre 80's)  he used his gibson sg junior with p90's and his fender mainly, then when prs came along he got one of those, i think that if ibanez has a guitar similar to that prs and had been in the shop that mike was browsing he could have easily picked that.

so no i dont think mike didnt use ibanez because they are too "metal sounding" because realisticaly its down to the amplifier to deal with how much distortion you use, i can get a very similar MO sound on my ibanez.

so there

:p
hehe

I will defend ibanez to the grave!!

I'm sorry, it was really just a joke, and yes you are right i am not a guitar expert, but i have always associated ibanez guitars with metal - my mate used to have one and it was very metal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  ibanez - rock on!

Well, he has used Ibanez guitars and basses.... Kinda sorta...
From crises through to about wind chimes he used the Roland synth bass which was the same as one or the Ibanez musican models with the addition of the roland bits.
Also on Crises and at least Discovery he used the Roland Gr300 with the G808 guitar which again was a rebadged Ibanez musican
The basses were rather good, The guitars have quite a few fans too (but it could be said that they looked better than they played)
Perhaps that is why Mike later had one of his SGs converted to run the Roland Gr300.
So Ibanez fans do not fret.. I'm sure Mike has tried out other models.
Oh, by the way It was Hugh Burns who played the Ibanez in TBII.
Hugh was the guy who did that great solo on Gerry Raffety's Baker Street.
