I find that I don't mind his singles, at first, but I soon grow to hate them as they get overplayed so much!

Call me a sentimental old fool if you will (and I'm sure some will leap at the invitation), but I thought 'Leave Right Now' was one of the most beautifully poignant things I'd heard in a long time.

He went to my university. One of the older people in my course knew him.

Hate him or not, he's still the most successful act to come out of a TV talent show. Kelly Clarkson from American Idol isn't much better.

Probably.

But I'm sure you'll do better, so don't worry.  ;)

I liked a couple of tracks, after hearing them on the radio, but there lies the problem. Our bus driver switches to BBC radio 2 in the afternoons, so I had to hear it twice a day for a week. That said, I've forgotten how it goes!  :D
