Quote (olracUK @ May 30 2006, 02:16) | Mike has not said if he's a fan of the game, but I'm sure many of us are. |
I did read that Mike supports "The Biscuitmen"also known as "The Royals" ,or in other words Reading FC. Reading town are known as the Biscuit Men due to Huntley and Palmer's biscuit manufacturers long association with the town. I remember my Nan and Grandad having a H&P tin full of biscuits, happy times of being a kid

It's interesting to see the list of Reading players included Sir Matt Busby, Luton born Kerry Dixon, also of Luton Town and Chelsea, and the unfortunately named Steve Death, who holds the Football League record for the longest time without a conceding a goal ,1103 mins , during his 10 year stint as Royals goalkeeper.
Why is it Luton Town a.k.a The Hatters were so often defeated by The Royals???, that is until 17 Feb this year.
I would say that I should really support Luton being as they're my hometown team, but I don't particularly like Luton the town,(not the football team) as the town is a polluted craphole IMHO.
About football, I'm not an avid follower of football, butI do sometimes surprise myself with how much I do know about the game. I find if I'm in football mood I'll happily sit and watch a game. During the World Cup I'll find that if I go to someones house andthey have football on TV I often find myself getting into the match, even if England aren't playing.
I'm sure Mike will be supporting England. BTW it would be great for England to win the World Cup 40 years on from our Victory in 1966 .
COME ON ENGLAND!!!!
-------------- I'm going slightly mad, It finally happened, I'm slightly mad , just very slightly mad
If you feel a little glum to Hergest Ridge you should come.
