YES have tacked on a show at the end of their 2004 tour which just happens to be an outdoor event at a castle near where i live in devon on July 10th.

I used to be a yes fan years ago, but haven't really listened much since Big Generator. This tour is touted as having a lot of older stuff, and their web site has some pretty cool drawings of the stage set, so I thought i'd go.

If anyone out there in MO land is going, contact me and perhaps we could meet up before or at the gig to chat face to face?

The venue is pretty amazing, a 18th century castle/mansion with typical country views across an estuary. The deer in the park wander up to see what's going on, and the castle is used as a backdrop. Crap if it rains though.

Well, since I got into MO,I haven't been much into Yes(which I was before),but this tour will be one of the coolest ones of the band.

BTW,next sunday I'll see Jon Anderson's solo concert in my city.If I get the chance to talk to him aftershow,I'll ask him about his collaboration with Mike, which there's a lack of info about it,afaik.

Earlier this year I saw Yes live in Perth, Australia. It was the first major concert I ever attended, and it was awesome. Practically all they played was their older classic stuff, plus a few tracks from Magnification which were really nice as well. Plus Rick Wakeman wore a cape! It was just amazing seeing some of the greatest musicians of all time, including Steve Howe, who I consider just as good a guitarist as Mike.

p.s. Is anyone else surprised at how tall Rick Wakeman is? You can't tell on videos because he's surrounded by keyboards, but he really is a giant. Something I never knew...

A few comments on that:

1.Rick returned to wear the cape on his South American tour in 2000.

2.Mike is for me a better guitarist than Steve Howe, but Steve beats Mike in one point - lap steel(which Mike never played, afaik).

3.Rick Wakeman is sooo tall(as well as Chris Squire) that, when I took a pic with him aftershow on 2001 here in Brazil ,he had to cut down a bit of his height to take a "nice pic",since I'm only 1,63m.
