I´d love to hear stories of people who had the chance to meet Mike in person,as well as any other Oldfield-related artist(who worked with him).

Strangely enough,I have the impression that meeting Mike is so hard since he doesn´t enjoy meet and greet events and parties after album releases....

Waited around out the back of the Royal Albert Hall in 93 wating for him to come out after the gig but he never showed up. Met Mickey Simmonds, Robin Smith, etc but not Mike. Alasdair Malloy gave me a tin of larger, really nice guy, actualy all of the musicians were really friendly.

This is gonna seem pretty vauge but my best mate had a stag party in prauge last year and his best man is a musician, anyway we started talking and i mentioned mike to him and he told me that the work he was involved in at the time had him working with someone, whos name i have misplaced, that toured with mike and did a lot of studio work with him, so i asked if they still saw each other he said yes and now im waiting for an autograph, or perhaps a meeting? lol like thats ever gonna happen! still i was only a few rows back at the then and now tour at wembely arena............ edging ever closer!!!!! hehehe

I personally met Ant(the guitar player on Crises) when he came with Rick Wakeman to Brazil in 2001.Nice fellow, great guy,but I wasn´t on the Oldfield mode so I didn´t talk about his work with Mike in the 80's(Crises tour)....

Nope, but I met Tom Newman, Barry Palmer and saw Mickey Simmonds with that gig in Germany in 1999 they gave. I have the autograph of Tom and Barry, but not of Mickey, because he performed and quickly went away. ;)
