Mike does something even more crazier than Romance, he invites you to his birthday!!! Can you believe it? What is your gift, and if you write a card, what do you write?

I think I'd bring this CD: http://www.arkivmusic.com/classical/album.jsp?album_id=173649
Mozart Concerto 24 played by Evgeny Kissin

Some typical brazilian instruments for him to play and use on a future album

A guitar, of course. And of course I'd bring one for myself, to have a play with him. :D I'm no good at writing birthday cards, so I'd probably just give him a big inflatable Fender Strat guitar [together with the real guitar, of course!] with "Happy Birthday Mike" scrawled in brightly-coloured crayons all over it.

A CD? Nah, Mike doesn't listen to music very often. But if I really had to buy him one, it would be this one.

By the way, Mike did do something crazier than "Romance". He re-recorded Tubular Bells. And then he remixed it. :D

If the party was at Mikes house i wouldnt bring a pressie.
I would however bring a locksmith.
When no one was looking i'd gain access to the studio and be the first one to hear the new album :D

I think I would bring him some great pictures from my region (we have a great natural fjord that's worth a boat trip) and give him an address of a good hotel near my place and offer to be his guide for him and his family around my region, if he ever want to visit a beautiful natural place in Quebec: Saguenay!

I think it's the best way I could know Mike and his family, by showing them the great nature where I live.

If he never comes, at least he can enjoy the pictures.

Hi Syd and thanks for asking. I've diminished my anger over Eddy somewhat. I keep him on weekends although me and Sylvia(his 1st owner) and the two doggies spend much of that time together, he comes to my place on weekends, the one I told him so many times has "The grass and trees", his eyes opened wide every time I said that. Thats what got to me, the "Grass and trees". And he is not here. I live alone, again. But I'm OK. I've lost interest in music unless it's already recorded(IE...I have not restringed my gits or played). I kinda hunker down and reflect. I think I might get a X-box and do games. But I should join a spa and work out. Anyway, no more angry posts. I guess things worked out for the best. Eddy has companionship all the time now. Thanks for asking. Jim

I used to be a gamer. Haven't played for a while though. I never did X-box, I was a computer gamer.

Anyway, things could be worse. At least you get to see Eddy on weekends. And you never know what may happen. Everything will work out, I'm sure.

Also, music has a way of creeping back into your life even if you don't think you want it too. So keep those guitars around, man.

I'd bring him Mark Knopfler.
These two really need to play guitars together.

That would be so awesome... a guitar battle fantasy of mine second only to Brent Hinds and Zakk Wylde. :D

Cool. It always blows my mind how he plays so fast without resting his hand, fingers or anything on the guitar - it's completely free-floating.
